Daydreaming thoughts...

Sleep

It never seems like I get enough. I generally do not stay up too late during the week. The Little One normally sleeps through the night. However, I still find myself wanting to stay in bed and sleep for longer in the morning.

So, I am curious how long I would actually sleep if I was in my own bed, the room stays dark, no interruptions from the Hubby, Little One or ambient outdoor noises. Would I naturally wake up after 8 hours? I would like to think I would sleep into the afternoon…but that’s not really a realistic thought.

Champagne

The other night, I caught the pilot show of Pan Am. I enjoyed the show… which is beside the point. At one part of the movie, the novice stewardess asked one of her fellow stewardess if she gives the honeymooners a bottle of champagne. That brief scene reminded me of my own honeymoon. The Hubby and I were flying to Anchorage, Alaska to start off our honeymoon on United Airlines. The stewardess on our flight gave us a bottle of champagne. It was a delightful surprise for the Hubby and me. I still remember fondly of that flight eleven years later. Do airlines still take these little steps? All you hear about is the taxes and fuel surcharges going up and up… or people getting kicked off flights for what seems like stupid reasons.

Fall

I love the fall. This season speaks to me and my soul… the crispness in the air, the leaves changing clothes, the neighborhood kids starting up another school year, pumpkins, apples, wine, Halloween, and Thanksgiving. It’s this season that makes me thankful to be living in the northeast. (Please remind me of this when I start bitching about the snow and cold weather in a few months.)
